Multiplex chain INOX, a pioneer in adopting the latest technologies, adds INDE’s cutting-edge 3D Augmented Reality experiences to its recently launched multiplexes in Mumbai: India’s first Laserplex at CR2 mall, and the country’s first 7-Star experience at R-City mall.
Large-screen AR installations "Back to the Jurassic" and "Traveller" provide a unique immersive experience to cinema-goers by getting them up-close and personal with a photo-realistic 3D leopard, rhino, dolphin, and life-sized dinosaurs from the Jurassic. People can pose with their favourite characters and then browse through snapshots of them generated by INDE’s AR system.
One of the permanent homes of the T-Rex and Raptors, who appear side by side with people on a giant screen, is Universal Studios in Orlando:
Back to the Jurassic and Traveller have given millions of zoo, museum, theme park and shopping mall visitors the opportunity to pet a leopard, meet life-sized dinosaurs and get splashed by dolphins in hundreds of locations worldwide.
INOX has established a strong presence in the cinema exhibition industry, it currently operates 119 multiplexes and 476 screens in 58 cities across India. They are the first multiplex chain to launch a large-screen AR experience in Asia.
As an increasing number of institutions and companies in education and entertainment are looking at innovative ways to provide unforgettable experiences to their audiences, Augmented Reality has become one of the most sought-after technologies today, due to its ability to engage, educate and entertain audiences of all ages
