In 2019 people all over the world have been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first humans landing on the Moon with a range of events and activities, but UK augmented reality company INDE took it a step further and helped stargazers relive these iconic moments by creating an interactive, cinema-quality 3D experience.

Moon Landing - an AR content package created for INDE's award-winning BroadcastAR system - features the Apollo Lunar Lander Module, a Lunar Rover and an Astronaut. BroadcastAR offers a device-free user experience that operates on any screen, indoor and outdoor digital signage or temporary LED/plasma screen and projection system. The unique edutainment platform allows education, entertainment, retail and event spaces offer truly immersive spaces that give group experience, collective participation and more at the touch of a button.

Moon Landing was the 13th licensed content package INDE has ever created for BroadcastAR. Off-the-shelf AR experiences have been a popular budget-friendly choice among their client base due to their consistent narrative, clear communication objectives and high-quality 3D content.

“It’s impossible not to be profoundly moved by the events of 50 years ago” - added Alex Alanson, INDE's COO. “The project to put humans on another planet involved the most cutting edge technology of the day. We at INDE are passionate about facilitating audience members to experience things that are otherwise impossible, and as such being able to bring this momentous event to life is at the core of what we love doing”.
