The Savannah Bananas deliver one of the most entertaining experiences in sports, combining their super-talented squad of players to create a unique stadium entertainment experience. The team at Zappo’s, one of the team’s main sponsors, came to INDE to see how the Bananas brand might be taken into a new, digital interactive environment. After discussing how to bring the excitement and fun of the stadium experience, Zappos commissioned INDE to build a web-based mobile experience that enables fans to take photos of themselves with “real” members of the Bananas teams that they can take away as a “money can’t buy” digital souvenir.
Mobile AR gave the team at INDE to develop a scalable, innovative solution based on its years of experience in this space. Bananas fans got a unique experience that aligns with the values of their brand, with high quality activations that represent its qualities and aspirations. Its team chose to partner with INDE to introduce AR to the Bananas fan base using their own phones.

Experience Overview
INDE’s collaboration with the Zappos sponsorship activation team enabled fans of the Savannah Bananas to use their mobile browser as a portal into the latest Augmented Reality technology. INDE’s experience of working with sports stars around the world gives it great insight into working with sporting megastars, bringing the on-field entertainment into a unique digital fan experience.
Using Mobile AR enabled the Savannah Bananas to be activated in a fun, 3d application that captured the essence of the unique experience they bring to their fanbase. All this without the investment required into stadium hardware, leveraging the power and ubiquity of mobile technology.
