Songcheng Performance Development Co. is one of the top 10 theme park groups in the world, with their oldest theme park, Hangzhou Songcheng Park, accommodating 10 million visitors per year.
The entertainment giant has recently launched a new initiative – a large-screen Augmented Reality show – that now immerses visitors in photo-realistic natural world content, and gets them side by side with some of the most realistic 3D animated dinosaurs ever created.
The Augmented Reality installation at Hangzhou Songcheng Park features Air, Land & Sea, an AR experience created by INDE, in collaboration with the National Geographic Society, and Back to the Jurassic, a dinosaur-themed AR encounter that places viewers right beside a life-sized T-Rex, the giant diplodocus and a pack of raptors.
BroadcastAR, INDE’s big-screen AR system, allows people to meet and interact with lifelike 3D creatures such as wild animals – including rare, endangered and extinct species. INDE’s unique “SnapShare” software solution also captures some of the most memorable moments of each user’s experience, which can then easily be shared online or printed on site.
