Published: June 10, 2016
Effective today, the partnership between MCI and INDE will advise participating countries and brands on all aspects of EXPO-2017 event communication strategy and implementation: from defining creative strategy aligned with EXPO’s “Future Energy” theme to creating and designing content, and managing the pavilions and creating a program of events to follow the opening.
MCI, the world’s leading provider of strategic engagement and activation solutions, has been a key driver of innovation in the design, development and management of meetings, events, association, and congress industries since it was founded in 1987. Since then, MCI has been attracting, engaging and thrilling audiences with experiences that drive business results and build lasting relationships. These “experiences” are more than just events, as people are brought together in ways that are personal, participatory and immersive. In 2015 alone, MCI organised over 5,000 events across the globe, delivering creative concepts and providing production solutions for events or exhibitions, e.g. World Expo Milano 2015. Through creative live experiences and digitisation, MCI helps its clients to enhance organisational performance and energise communities. MCI’s industry leadership originates from a constant and relentless quest to explore new ways of creating interactive experiences for participants, whether those are events or exhibitions. Event management is constantly changing and MCI stays up to speed on the latest innovations, whether for on-line & off-line event delivery, by also pioneering new tools and approaches to audience engagement and moderation. With 1,900 experts in 61 cities and 32 countries, and through its Ovation network of 125 partners, MCI can operate globally in virtually any place in the world.
INDE develops award-winning interactive and immersive products and experiences in advertising, entertainment and education, using emerging technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, motion capture and computer to create next-generation platforms that change the way people interact with content. Since 2011 INDE has launched systems on every continent for clients such as 20th Century Fox, National Geographic, The Coca-Cola Company, the Smithsonian Museum, Universal Studios, BBC Worldwide, GE, and Guinness Book of World Records amongst others.
INDE’s CEO Alex Poulson said: “Our AR experiences provide next generation entertainment with the ability to educate people on anything from history and the natural world to key information on brands or initiatives. Our global experience from museums to events via some of the greatest entertainment brands in the world will help bring the Expo to life alongside our new partners at MCI. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunity.”
“From digitally ‘resurrecting’ Albert Einstein so people can interact with a life-sized 3D version of The Father or Relativity beamed beside them to help position a country or corporate brand at Expo Astana 2017 and beyond, our partnership takes the Expo experience to the next level”, said Matteo Pederzoli, MCI’s Financial and Trade Services Practice Director, and Executive Producer & Curator of the European Union Pavilion Visitor Experience at the World Expo Milano 2015.
